Soul on Paper: The Posters of Scott Williams

saki, Logan Square’s premiere record store, art gallery, and performance space, is excited to present Soul on Paper, an exhibition by Scott Williams. The exhibit will run through the month of July.

Scott Williams is a Chicago-based (by way of Mobile, Alabama)graphic designer who has been making things around town a little more beautiful since 1996. His old school aesthetics have garnered the attention of Chicago mainstays I.O., Second City, and the Annoyance. In the past 3 years, his attention has refocused to his unique and energetic gigposters. His work has been commissioned by the likes of Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Black Joe Lewis & the Honeybears, Charles Bradley & His Extraordinaires, JC Brooks & the Uptown Sound, JD McPherson and Numero Group. Scott is also a part of Soul Summit -- a three-man DJ collective that hosts a monthly dance party at the Double Door in Wicker Park. As Art Director for Soul Summit, Williams creates a fresh poster for every party.
